Job Summary

A Director of Order Management leads a team of Order Management Leaders that are accountable for the successful development and execution of strategic operational objectives. Reporting to a senior leader within Global Order Operations, an individual in this role is responsible for developing strategies, policies and procedures that optimize value and create a world class order management organization. This person also takes overall accountability for operational excellence, customer delight and strategic thought leadership across all operational functions.

Responsibilities

  • Develops strategies, policies and procedures to optimize value and create a world class order management group
  • Establishes goals and objectives, (including stretch targets) in coordination with corporate objectives and managing performance to ensure attainment
  • Mentors, coaches, and contributes to the development of the leadership team on policies, procedures and best practices while promoting professional growth
  • Guides execution and cross-functional accountability throughout WWT Supply Chain
  • Takes on overall accountability for operational excellence and customer delight
  • Leading and driving strategic thought leadership across all functions
  • Communicates clearly to drive expectations and instill consistency amongst the team
  • Stewards the culture through utilization of the World Wide Technology Integrated Management and Leadership tools and concepts
  • Establishes long-term capability and resource planning to continue the evolution of teams
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with other functional groups
  • Identifies scaling opportunities across the global organization using industry best practices and processes
  • Identifies areas of opportunity for better organizational alignment in communication, responsibility allocation, and structure
  • Supports the department through the escalation process, driving critical issue resolution through collaboration with executive leadership internally and/or externally

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management Required
  • Master's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management Preferred
  • A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 7 years' progressive experience in a related field required
  • A minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience, which includes the management of direct reports
  • Minimum of 10 years of supply chain related experience in a complex manufacturing environment
  • APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) - Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on routine assignments
  • Ability to demonstrate a work ethic consistent with WWT's Core Values
  • This position is required to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on doing whatever it takes to get the job done and deliver customer delight
  • The nature of the role requires an ability to deliver high quality, thorough and accurate work on deadlines through successful navigation of shifting customer requirements and competing organizational demands
  • Standard business hours are generally observed, with work from home schedules and flexibility on start/end times, and there may also be opportunities for periodic domestic/international travel (up to 10%)
  • This role will be expected to work in an open-office environment with desk sharing/hoteling practices
  • Travel between our Maryland Heights, MO and Edwardsville, IL locations is common
