The U.S. Personal Banking Marketing team is looking for talented, creative and ambitious Marketers.
As part of the team, you'll help drive Citi's growth - showcasing products and digital capabilities across retail, mortgage, Citi branded cards, and our retail services. This role is an opportunity to leverage Citi's high-tech, high-touch relationship model.
The Specialty Partner Group (SPG) CMO team is a key business unit within the Citi Retail Services marketing organization, focused on driving partner and Citi generated marketing initiatives across multiple portfolios. The VP - Portfolio
Marketing Manager will lead the marketing strategy and program delivery for key SPG portfolios. The Portfolio Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the development of short and long-term strategic credit marketing plans to drive new accounts, sales, receivables, and revenue growth. Core responsibilities include:
(1) Develop and own the annual marketing plan to drive growth for key clients - inclusive of campaign strategies, sequencing, segmentation and offers,
(2) Manage / facilitate necessary approvals for initiatives inclusive of funding approval, legal, and compliance
(3) Work with the client and agencies to create best-in-class marketing communications that drives customer action,
(4) Partner with cross functional teams including Risk and Decision management to assess initiative performance, optimize and sharing learnings
(5) Collaborate with partners and internal teams to innovate and drive real time relevant experiences for customers , and
(6) Ensure all campaigns adhere to all legal, compliance, and control requirements and documentation is properly maintained.
The Portfolio Marketing Manager will serve as a primary day-to-day contact with Citi's Partner Management team, internal cross-functional teams, as well as the Partners to drive new accounts and usage that will generate profitable sales for both Citi and for the Partner. The incumbent will be expected to challenge the status quo and drive innovation through digital and traditional marketing channels, communication sequencing, integration in the customer shopping journey and targeting optimization.
Ability to work and excel in a virtual work environment where management, peers and clients may not be in the same physical location
Key Responsibilities & Collaborative Points
Key Responsibilities:
1.) Be a Growth champion within the business.
2.) Build annual engagement plan of record to drive retail and credit sales growth, with ongoing monitoring of key program performance indicators, including sales, receivables and revenue.
3.) Develop program strategy and provide marketing leadership to cross-functional teams and external agencies to successfully implement integrated marketing plans designed to optimize account acquisitions and drive profitable sales.
4.) Closely align with Partner Management team to develop shared goals and objectives, define priorities, and deliver consistent voice to partners.
5.) Work closely with Business Operations and Marketing Technology to identify opportunities to modify program strategies to streamline execution and reduce time to market.
6.) Collaborate with digital team to drive incremental sales through low-cost online channels.
7.) Maintain oversight of marketing campaigns and key deliverables of credit marketing initiatives across teams.
8.) Facilitate / lead strategic and tactical marketing discussions with Partners.
9.) Create presentations and other documentation for both external Partner meetings as well as internal reviews.
10.) Develop and maintain portfolio marketing calendars.
11.) Manage annual financial budget for applicable programs, including monthly forecast, and budget reconciliation.
12.) Collaborate with Decision Management to monitor / analyze campaign performance effectiveness as well as portfolio analytics and trends to recommend future campaign / testing strategies.
13.) Review program performance and recommendations with Partners and drive strategic discussions regarding new initiatives.
14.) Partner with marketing colleagues to share best practices and ensure alignment across businesses.
15.) Leverage research and insights tools to make informed decisions, including initiating studies and sharing relevant insights with partners.
16.) Monitor process control points and governance requirements.
17.) Ensure adherence to all business and regulatory requirements, including Legal, Fair Lending, Risk, and Compliance.
