Overview:
The HR Project Manager is primarily responsible for leading projects involving implementations or enhancements of various HCM tools. Additional project types may include data conversions, audits, and other HR projects as assigned. Project team members may include HRIS analysts, data analysts, related IT teams, stakeholders from across HR or the business, and external software vendors. The standard working hours will be based on U.S. central time zone. Stakeholders may be located across global teams, the occasional meeting outside of standard hours may be required. This position will primarily work remotely and may be needed in office on occasion.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full project lifecycle, including: scope, project plan and schedule, stakeholder and resource management, budget, project execution and closure
  • Ensure all project roles, responsibilities and outcomes are clearly defined
  • Partner with HR, business stakeholders, IT and vendor partners to define, document, and execute implementation plans, which may include specific system-wide functionality or process design, testing plans, training materials, and communication plans
  • Gather requirements and track country-specific processes in a consistent method
  • Identify and mitigate risks to on-time/on-budget delivery and resource constraints
  • Facilitate change management and operational readiness for end-users on system or process changes
  • Utilize standard project management tools and techniques to effectively manage projects and maintain detailed project documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, risk and issue logs
  • Produce regular project status reports for HR leadership and relevant stakeholders
  • Protect sensitive data at all times in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree Related Field required
  • 3+ years of experience in project management
  • 2+ years of experience working with HRIS and/or IT
  • Experience leading the implementation or significant enhancement of at least one cloud-based system strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Proficient with MS Office applications and project management tools
  • Self-starter, able to effectively prioritize activities with little direction
  • Experience leading diverse groups and matrix managed environments, interface with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Nice to have:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred
