The team: The Workplace business unit focuses on helping individuals achieve better outcomes by working with institutional clients in the global (Defined Contribution) DC and workplace markets. The Role:

We seek an enthusiastic, results-driven candidate to serve as a Principal Software Engineer within the Fiduciary Solutions team. In this role, you will work with partners in technology, product management, support, and sales to drive large and complex software modernization initiatives with the goal of delivering value to our customers faster, improving quality, and reducing cost. The ability to communicate clearly with all levels and form strong relationships with stakeholders is critical for this role.


Job responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, and build solutions for business-critical initiatives
  • Formulate and evolve Fiduciary Solutions platform vision and technical strategy
  • Use tools and methodologies to create representations for platforms, solutions, and applications such as Domain Driven Design and 12 Factor applications.
  • Guide, mentor, and coach software development teams.
  • Lead technical requirements gathering sessions to produce design documents and solutions
  • Thrive in a flexible and fast-paced environment, including the ability to think big in a rapidly evolving technology space
  • Design and build large Cloud-ready, highly scalable software
  • Provide technical decisions at the application level (vendor/technology selection, solution architecture, assessing tradeoffs, etc.)
  • Work with existing code / new code to develop complex distributed systems


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of developing and maintaining large, complex enterprise applications
  • Significant and demonstrable Angular development experience.
  • Significant and demonstrable experience in implementing Angular best practices - especially around scalability, availability, and performance.
  • Significant and demonstrable experience in test-driven development alongside the use of automated test frameworks, mocking/stubbing, and Jasmin
  • Deep knowledge and experience working with and architecting cloud-native applications (ideally with Amazon Web Services)
  • Significant knowledge of working with JavaScript frameworks and libraries to create rich interactive content
  • Experience with AWS (S3, CloudFront, Fargate, CDK, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.


Nice to have:

  • Industry experience in the finance field.
