Ryan Companies has an exciting opportunity this summer to join our team as a Project Engineer Intern! This will be an entry level role to gain exposure specific to a Project Management position with additional opportunities to gain insight into additional roles that the construction industry offers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the project team in the completion of designated projects while focusing on learning construction industry processes, procedures, and Ryan business policies.
• Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.
• Develop a first-hand understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control and safety. Jobsite experience will be limited to interns that are over the age of 18.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Interest in a career in the construction industry.
• Able to work at least 20 hours per week in-person.
• Able to commute to our Chicago office.
• Be at least 16 years old.
• Working toward a high school diploma, certificate, or other degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Show a high level of professionalism and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
• Self-motivated.
• Eager to work with a project team and learn about the construction industry.
