Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Culture and Promotions:

  • Drives sales to consistently achieve store sales goals by personally selling the furniture, accessories and services
  • Provides feedback and innovative ideas to the Store Manager on building a more profitable operation.
  • Executes the Company selling and customer service model with the passion to drive real action.
  • Present opportunities for grass roots marketing and community focused events that build sales and support our communities to the Store Manager.
  • Executes all sales and promotions as defined by the company.

Team Development:

  • Acts as Manager on duty on a rotational schedule.
  • Participates as an active member of the store team and takes action that prioritizes team success.
  • Collaborates with other team members to improve performance and execution of all duties.
  • Values information sharing and looks for opportunities to drive team learning and knowledge share.

Store Standards/ Operations:

  • Follows the Company programs to keep a clean, well merchandised store.
  • Participates in cycle counts, accounting procedures, systems procedures, and store merchandise displays.
  • Works with the Store team to execute all Merchandise changes, Test & Learn programs and sell thru strategies.
  • Executes all tagging and sign programs 100% to the Company standard and provides feedback on effectiveness/opportunities for improvement.
  • Accurately completes required paperwork, including order entry, delivery schedules, customer records, and deposit fees.

Customer Experience Excellence:

  • Sets the highest standard for customer care.
  • Personally, greets and welcomes guests into their store.
  • Ensures the Company plan or better on prospecting new customers.
  • Is innovative in finding ways to delight their guests.
  • Is intolerant of any lack of customer caring by the team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years sales experience with a proven track record of success including 1-3 years of supervisory experience or equivalent
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Initiative to meet assigned goals, missions and objectives
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build rapport
  • Ability to effectively manage time and conflicting priorities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work the schedule and hours dictated by business needs, to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Travel required: up to 5%
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Occasionally responsible for directly leading the store team.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Retail Store Environment: Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs, kneel, squat, crouch, reach overhead, pull, push or lift - up to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to climb ladders, crawl, balance, and shovel or lift over 50 pounds.
