What you will be doing


The Senior Network Analyst will be responsible for assisting in design, installation and maintenance of the LAN/WAN for a fast-paced financial trading firm.

* Performs device configurations, internal operating system upgrades and software upgrades and deploys network devices including routers, switches, load balancers and firewalls.
* Manage and troubleshoot L2/L3 unicast and multicast traffic throughout the corporate network.
* Work with service providers to contract, order and establish connectivity to the internet, financial exchanges, extranets and other third parties.

* Follows documented network services processes and procedures - identifies gaps in processes or documentation and suggests improvements.

* Monitors, responds and provides resolution for all network problem and incident tickets.

* Works with clients to implement, maintain and troubleshoot their connectivity.

* Troubleshoots network problems and recommends both short- and long-term corrective procedures; assists with troubleshooting circuit equipment and all other network issues.

* Prepares activity reports as requested by management.

* Identifies opportunities to improve workflow and creates supporting documentation for review by peers and management.

* Prepare changes including opening tickets and creating detailed roll out and back out plans by following FIS change management policies and procedures.

* Maintains network services documentation related to work area.

* Completes network change requests in accordance with service level agreements.

* Maintains network equipment inventory.

* Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you bring for experience

Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

* Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner

* Knowledge of network technologies, i.e., routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, network and routing protocols, DNS

* Knowledge of basic IT technologies, i.e., operating systems, network devices, software development and architecture

* Requires deep knowledge of Arista and Cisco operating systems, device configurations and troubleshooting.

* Thorough understanding of OSPF, EIGRP and BGP routing protocols, PIM multicast, VLSM, firewall policies and ACL's.

* Knowledge of IPsec tunnel implementation, configuration and troubleshooting.

* Ability to understand and apply technical concepts

* Team skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships* Flexibility, versatility, dependability

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $108,170.00 - $181,720.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
