Job Summary
Chicago State University invites applications for the position of Associate Head Coach, Men's and Women's
Tennis. This position reports to the Head Coach, Men's and Women's Tennis and is responsible for
assisting in the management and operation of all aspects of the Chicago State University Division I Men's and women's tennis program with specific coaching responsibilities as designated by the Head Coach.
Job Description
Assist in the development and implementation of programs, policies and objectives related to
the unit and assist the department head with overall management. Provides coaching and
instruction, participates in recruiting activities and provides facilitation of training and practice
activities.
* Participate in the development of programs, departmental objectives and long-range planning.
* May be responsible for direct supervision of specific operational areas or functions within the
unit.
* Provide overall leadership on special projects for the department head.
* *Serve as an expert in specific areas, providing reports, analysis, information and
recommendations to the department head.
* Provides advice and expertise to campus and university units, interpreting policies of the unit.
* May be responsible for the overall leadership and coordination for program development, or
administrative and financial operations of the unit
* Act as liaison to campus and university units and assist with the evaluation of policies and
compliance with them.
* *Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications



Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.

Bachelor's degree, plus one year of collegiate or professional coaching experience; Successful candidates for this position will be subject to a background investigation.
As a staff member within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, the person assuming this position is responsible for knowledge of and compliance with institutional, conference and NCAA rules, both those general in nature and those which apply specifically to their job responsibilities. Knowledge of and compliance with NCAA rules is a condition of employment in this position.
