Job Description Summary | Adjunct Faculty member in the College of Education to supervise Field Experiences or Clinical Practice (student teaching). Day time availability and personal transportation is required. |

Responsibilities | Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education. Responsible to model, teach and promote the unit standards for the Department of Education as a critical transformative educator, a multicultural educator and a social justice advocate. -Teach seminars focused on the responsibilities of good teaching in the classroom. Observe teacher candidates in a classroom setting during the school day. -Prepare candidates for clinical practice (student teaching) as well as provide information on the development and implementation of future professional plans. -Create and maintain professional and collaborative relationship with mentor teachers, building principals, and teacher candidates. -Act as a resource person to the teacher candidate by providing additional source of information and by being available through phone, e-mail and/or personal contact. -Prepare teacher candidates for the successful completion and submission of the edTPA to Pearson |
Minimum Qualifications | Terminal degree preferred, master's degree considered. Current and valid State Teacher License. Minimum of 3 years teaching students in area(s) of licensure and/or endorsement(s). . |
Preferred Qualifications | Terminal degree preferred. Endorsement or experience preferred. |
