Position Highlights:

  • Position: Mental Health Associate I
  • Location: LOH Naperville
  • Per Diem
  • Hours: As needed

The Behavioral Health Associate provides direct patient care to patients with behavioral health disorders.Participates in treatment planning and implementation. Facilitates groups within assigned treatment programs. Documents according to department/organization procedures. Ensures the safety and well-being of these patients by maintaining a safe milieu.

  • What you will need:
  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Behavioral Health related field, no previous experience or A Bachelor's Degree or higher in a non-Behavioral Health related field, a minimum of one year of behavioral health experience
  • Maintain information as highly confidential
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and willingness to seek supervision

Experience Preferred:

  • Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology
  • Skills in teaching or assisting with activities of daily living
  • Prior experience with therapeutic limit-setting and milieu management

Licensure and/or Certification Required:

  • A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire
  • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
