Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)

Responsible for a full range of activities, which will ensure the operational effectiveness of all the Calpine Plant assets. Will be responsible for building profiles and creating financial models to optimize the Plant asset's productivity. Will focus on identifying opportunities for cost improvements, and manage projects to meet the cost improvement objectives. Will prepare cost estimates of new or special projects for establishing selling prices and production forecasts.

The efforts managed by the Asset Management Analyst provide consistent implementation of activities based on data collection and analysis throughout operations, improving operational reliability and efficiency. May analyze and put systems in place to maintain or enhance operational effectiveness. Will design and document workflow and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness and will track and analyze business unit trends to in turn make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact the unit.

  • Makes recommendations on moderately complex issues regarding project components and tasks.
  • May make recommendations on new processes, tools and services; supports and contributes to development of new processes, services or techniques.
  • Works on significant and unique issues and projects.
  • Regularly uses independent judgment in the evaluation of intangibles or situations with minimal precedent or standards available for reference. Selects methods, techniques, analytical approach and evaluation criteria.
  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or highly complex special assignments Serves as project/technical lead on small to medium sized projects; may coordinate work of professionals, technicians and others outside of own department.
  • This is the most senior skill level without moving to the management or specialist track.
  • Resource integrator -builds professional networks and identifies and connects resources to achieve goals. Regularly contributes actionable ideas in brainstorming and planning sessions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or related and 4+ years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Relevant advanced degree, a plus

Salary Information

  • Salary Range - $89,874.08 - $114,589.45
