Job Description

The School of Physical Therapy is hiring for a full-time 9-month tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor for our Houston campus. The candidate must have an earned academic post-professional doctoral degree (PhD, DSc, and EdD) in physical therapy or a related field.

Responsibilities

Will include developing and teaching courses in both the professional (DPT) and PhD programs. A candidate with expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferred: neurologic physical therapy, general therapeutic interventions, and research mentorship.

Qualifications

The candidate must have 3 years of clinical experience, must have or be able to establish a systematic program of research with potential for external funding, and be eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Texas. Prior experience in academic or clinical teaching and specialization are valued assets.
