Job Description
The Research Project Manager is responsible for the initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure activities of complex and multi-phase projects/clinical trials across multiple teams. They are responsible for keeping projects on track and possessing the ability to foresee the entire project as a whole at all times.They will be the key person on a NIH-funded clinical trial as the lead site in a multi-site project.
Job Duties:
1. Leads research project management initiatives and develops efficiencies in the Division of Neonatology Research by planning, implementing and maintaining organizational systems for research processes, standard operating procedures, and workflows.
2. Coordinates and communicates with investigators and other research personnel to intake, catalog, review, and prioritize research resources and project support, maintaining a collaborative relationship with research teams.
3. Provides project planning support for study teams. Collaborates with Neonatology Clinical Research Manager and investigators to provide appropriate internal and external resources based on needs assessments conducted for each project.
4. Organizes and prepares monthly dashboard/metrics reports.
5. Perform job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our researchers, trainees, volunteers, co-workers, and others.
6. Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
2. Minimum of five years of related experience in a clinical research setting preferred.
3. Expert knowledge of FDA and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
4. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be detailed oriented.
5. Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
6. Demonstrated strong leadership skills and strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of faculty, staff and external contacts.
7. Fluency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint and database management.
