POSITION SUMMARY
The System Administrator position supports the effective use of the College's administrative computer systems. This is done by providing system administration, business analysis, computer programming support, software troubleshooting, and working with students, faculty, and staff to accomplish the College's goals through the use of the ERP system(s).

This position will lead the Enterprise Application (EA) department's Workday administration, configuration, support, change management, and project efforts. Responsibilities include support, training communication and coordination for Workday, leading process enhancement of account creation, granting of data access for users, technical support of incidents submitted via the service desk, documentation, report running and data query assistance, setting up security options along with the Infosec department and other tasks in conjunction with the EA team. This role is the EA team's primary liaison to JJC's Workday Stabilization and Enhancement efforts and will interface with users at all levels to enable changes and improve the adoption of our Workday systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assists in the development, analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation and documentation of computer-based applications through the Administration, support coordination and process enhancements for our Workday (ERP) systems including HCM, Finance, Payroll, Budget Planning, Prism, and Recruiting modules live in production.
2. Work closely with the user community to further integrate the College's Workday ERP system functionality and improve related business processes.
3. Assist users, and analyst IT peers with Workday reporting requirements, applications development, and documentation.
4. Communicate with users to determine their programming requirements and investigate issues with current programs including engaging in critical Workday production issues with peers and stakeholder and assist in resolution actions including document processes and incidents and the creating and evaluation of technical training material.
5. Define processes and facilitate routing of technical support of incidents submitted via service desk support requests including routing of tickets and administration of any Workday portion of ticketing systems.
6. Design and program computer software to fulfill user requirements using proper applications development methodology and best practices.
7. Coordinate and improve how we create accounts and grant data access and security setup to users to Workday.
8. Modify current programs to correct problems or to enhance programs to meet user current requirements.
9. Train functional area personnel on how to use new programs and systems including aligning training and communications deliverables with Workday technology goals both pre and post-project go live and coordinate stakeholder and end-user training.
10. Prepare detailed documentation of programs and systems, especially around Workday ERP.
11. Support IT staff with the integration of new technologies related to the current Workday environment.
12. Assist Director in the administration of Workday Administration Management Services (AMS), assisting on tickets and help in track usage and costs.
13. Work with organization on the assessment, testing, support and facilitation of Workday releases including help to coordinate Organizational Change Management activities for software releases, fixes, and upgrades with technical teams and users for the EA team.
14. Investigate to enable training and rollout components of ongoing Workday project enhancements or modules slated for future adoption.

16. Participate in meetings both and committees in person and virtual as assigned.
17. Participate in department goals and objectives.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science / Information Technology or closely related field.
2. Two (2) years of applicable programming experience.
3. Two (2) years of Database maintenance experience.
4. Knowledge of Workday as a user and a passion and ability to quickly learn and adopt Workday skills.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Ability to coordinate technical and functional training activities with multiple departments and stakeholders at various levels.
7. Previous experience in a role that provided exposure to some of the complex tasks within job functions similar or equal to those in a higher education environment.
8. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; must be able to work at times independently as well as in a team with a variety of groups.
9. While the majority of the work will be performed at the Joliet Junior College main campus when the campus is open, the applicant must have the ability to provide services at other campus locations, as needed. Reimbursement for travel expenses will be made.
10. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Knowledge of ERP systems operating in a higher education environment.
2. While ongoing Workday training will be made available, the ideal candidates will have Workday expertise as an administrator or power user.
3. Workday certification(s).
4. Ellucian Colleague ERP experience as a user, support technician, and training coordinator.
5. Experience with Microsoft products, Web-based products and SQL reporting tools.
6. Experience with administration of Business Intelligent Tools and Databases including Security and user access.
7. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
8. Demonstrated multicultural competence.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Normal IT office physical demands.
2. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
3. Ability to travel between campus locations and to and from community events.

WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Duties are performed indoors in the usual office environment.
2. Required use of computer equipment needed to accomplish administrative application programming and related activities.
