Job Description

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Assurance inspector will drive quality excellence for the protective film manufacturing facilities across the division. This individual is responsible for ensuring high quality product is made through partnership with the Quality, Production and NPD teams in our Aurora, IL facility.

Nature of Duties


  • Serve as a lead for the quality function and sustain the quality philosophy and lean culture for the site.
  • Floor presence to review quality issues on the floor and work with manufacturing on quality at the source projects.
  • Administers the effective documentation and implementation of the quality management system to assure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and the standards set by corporate/division policies.
  • Act as a liaison with leadership for production, quality and NPD to ensure that individuals performing functions affecting quality are demonstrating the appropriate skills and performance results.
  • Maintains a corrective action system to analyze and correct nonconforming conditions and complaints.
  • Executes the performance measurements necessary to effectively evaluate organizational performance and trends in product quality, services, customer satisfaction and the cost of poor quality.
  • Assists Quality leadership on the development and implementation of a supplier management strategy.
  • Collaborates with Engineering on new product development and design review for quality/reliability issues.

Requirements:


  • Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED)
  • 2+ years of experience in quality; manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Familiarity and capability with MS Office programs, including Excel, Word, etc.
  • Cultural Fit. Nimble and entrepreneurial in nature - past success in an environment with limited resources. Demonstrated collaboration with the executive team and comfortable working at all levels within an intense, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent work ethic, self-starter
  • Candidate must have exceptional written, verbal, public speaking and communication skills
  • Candidate must work well collaboratively in a team environment
