How you will contribute:

• Advising clients on enhancing tax opportunities and managing risk associated with mergers and acquisitions
• Analyzing tax risks of target companies using tax returns, accounting information, and interviews with management
• Preparing and analyzing reports correlating tax diligence and tax structuring findings with client valuations
• Identifying issues affecting purchase price, deal structure, or deal termination
• Reading and advising clients with respect to purchasing agreements
• Working closely with executives, investment bankers, private equity and corporate clients, attorneys, or other stakeholders
• Working alongside other FORVIS team members to exceed client expectations

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college/university
• CPA license or admission to state bar required
• JD or master's degree in taxation preferred
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in corporate or partnership tax or transaction tax (M&A tax), including at least two (2) years of tax due diligence, from a large public accounting or consulting firm
• Strong current knowledge of U.S. federal income tax, mergers, and acquisitions, and transaction services
• Current knowledge of state and local taxes is a plus
• Recent experience with corporate and pass-through tax concepts
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel, and PowerPoint
