ChampionX is currently looking for a VP Sales - Emissions Technologies. This role will be based in Houston. The VP Sales - Emissions Technologies will be responsible for new business growth opportunities for Emissions Technologies related products and services globally. The role requires a unique combination of strategic thinking in a player-coach role to implement strategic actions, strong leadership skills and a creative mindset.

What You Will Do:

Strategy and Planning

  • Define the sales strategy and implement its execution.
  • Identify and develop strategic account plans leveraging other channel partner (internal and external) resources.
  • Builds key business initiatives and plans in collaboration with sales, marketing, and product leaders to identify strategies targeting growth.
  • Presents business development reports to Senior Leadership.
  • Advises and consults with internal business partners on business development initiatives and plans.
  • Develops annual operational and financial budgets as they relate to organizational objectives and work closely with the organization to ensure that product strategies and performance are meeting growth and Annual Operating Plan targets.
  • Collaborates with internal and external Sales leadership to understand and build new growth opportunities, provide training, and create a process to generate profitable growth.
  • Leads optimization efforts with customers to increase account penetration and gain new business.

Partner and Channel Development

  • Conduct market assessments to determine best channel and strategy to sell Emissions Technologies products and services.
  • Identify and develop go to market channels for deeper market penetration.
  • Champions new growth and product ideas; oversees special projects that have cross regional or cross business implications.
  • Design and deliver effective contracts, collateral and training programs for partners and channels.

Execution

  • Oversees the analysis, measurement, and tracking of market sales potential across product line(s).
  • Articulate value story, technology, and product positioning to both business and technical users
  • Develops processes and procedures to understand competition and input to market lead pricing propositions for designated areas.
  • Actively manage channel partners effectiveness, prospecting, closing, forecasting, and KPI's by using a metrics-based approach to report progress and highlight potential roadblocks with proposed mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain expert level of product and application knowledge regarding atmospheric sciences.
  • Excellent communication skills that convey conviction and depth in our value proposition
  • Coaches and mentor's sales team on delivering presentations, reviews sales plan and product designs, while helping to facilitate customer meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence in company approved databases through our Salesforce CRM
  • Maintains confidentiality of all matters.
  • Knows and enforces compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Drives and contributes to the department continuous improvement culture.
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience and Knowledge of ESG, Emissions and/or Atmospheric Sciences.
  • Experience on Software sales and reoccurring revenue models.
  • Oil & Gas experience.
  • Four-year college or university degree in Environmental Engineering, Atmospheric Sciences, Business, or related field.
  • A deep understanding of business operations, financial analysis, and market dynamics is important. Should be able to assess the financial viability of strategic initiatives and evaluate their impact on the organization's bottom line.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to effectively articulate complex ideas and strategies to internal and external stakeholders. Should be able to build relationships, influence decision-making, and drive alignment across different departments and levels of the organization.
  • The ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration is critical. Should be able to inspire and motivate others, build consensus, and facilitate effective teamwork towards achieving strategic goals.
  • Availability for inter-regional and international travel 40%
  • Immigration Sponsorship is not available for this role.
