Northshore Edward Elmhurst Health is actively recruiting experienced Emergency Department nurse practitioners and physician assistants to join our team. Expect a fast-paced environment where you will provide care in a team-based approach while working at the top of your license. Education:

  • Degree from an accredited physician assistant training program
  • Master's level training preferred.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Current IL Physician Assistant License
  • Current DEA and Controlled Substance License
  • Current Certification as a physician assistant by the National Commission of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Experience:

  • Current ACLS/PALS
  • 2 years of emergency medicine experience preferred.

APN candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Master's degree in nursing (MSN of MS)
  • Certification in area of specialty
  • ACLS and PALS
  • DEA
  • 2 years Emergency Department experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse
  • Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license
  • Current State of Illinois Advance Practice Nurse license and a collaborative practice agreement
  • Current CPR Certification issued by either the American Heart Association or Red Cross
