DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Cash Management:

  • Serve as backup for cash management tasks.

Development Accounting:

  • Record acquisition transactions.
  • Prepare monthly funding draw requests
  • Record and ensure payment of loan interest
  • Review of rental operation accounting and monthly activity upload in accounting for completed buildings
  • Code monthly pay applications from general contractor
  • Manage debt compliance and reporting responsibilities.
  • Prepare schedules for quarterly board reporting.

Other:

  • Apply accounting methodology consistent with GAAP and in accordance with The Opus Group policies.
  • Assist with annual audit as assigned.
  • Assist with preparation of tax workpapers as assigned.
  • Complete general accounting responsibilities as assigned.
  • Perform various special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in accounting. Two years' accounting experience. Experience in real estate or construction related accounting preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to function as an integral team member, with great attention to detail and ability to work under time constraints to meet deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Working familiarity with Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise One is preferred.
