Responsibilities | Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education. -Create graphic solutions - from concept to design - for print and non-print media. Participate in all phases of design development including design, layout and production. Understands the process to produce quality publications through the proofing, production, printing and finishing processes. -Work with University departments and offices regarding project specifications, including content, graphic direction, output recommendations, timelines, and budget requirements. Coordinate production of materials with graphic design director and ensure deadlines are met. -Ensure that print and electronic materials adhere to the University's graphic standards. Adapt established branding into designs to ensure consistency in all related communication pieces. -Send publication specifications out to bid, requisition print jobs based on bid results, and coordinate printing and delivery. -Utilize Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator on Macintosh operating systems. -Maintain, organize and archive computer files for creative projects and also maintain electronic photo image archives. Minimum Qualifications | Must be enrolled and maintain satisfactory progress in one of the University's graduate programs. Bachelor's degree required in graphic design, visual arts or experience in graphic arts professions. Operating knowledge of Macintosh Operating Systems required. Experience in the use of design software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator required; familiarity with HTML, Adobe Dreamweaver, and Microsoft PowerPoint desirable. |
