Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Cell culture development and maintenance, including iPSCs and human induced neurons and other brain cells.
- Proficiency with viral vectors, subcloning, and transfection techniques
- Optical imaging and fluorescence techniques, utilization of calcium imaging approaches and related biosensors
- Immunoassays, Immunohistochemistry
- qRT-PCR
- Collect, compile, analyze and present data.
- Flexibility and willingness to participate in several ongoing projects is a plus.
- Excellent communication and writing skills required
Additional responsibilities:
- Contribute to manuscript and grant submissions
- Mentor/teach techniques to qualified students and technicians.
Position Summary
Research associate or post-doctoral position with expertise in stem cell biology / iPSCs / human-derived brain cells to support NIH-funded studies in neurodegenerative disease including Alzheimer's disease, Down syndrome and brain injury. Technical skills in live cell fluorescent imaging, gene editing, and/or electrophysiology a strong plus.

Required Education & Experience
- PhD in Neuroscience/Biology/Molecular Biology-related field
- Demonstration of research productivity

- Effective and clear reading, writing and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated project management skills, including ability to manage competing priorities and excellent time management skills
