Job Objective:
The Business Clerk provides clerical support to the Business Department, ensuring that Salvation Army policy and applicable laws are adhered to.

Essential Functions:

1. Prepare weekly gratuities.
2. Process Receipting.

3. Perform weekly bank deposits and record in Shelby.
4. Respond to Credit Card merchants on chargebacks.
5. File loss of funds reports.
6. Communicate with Director of Business and warehouse personnel to schedule rag and surplus
pickups. Ensure payment is received prior to release of funds.
7. Update and maintain bale log.
8. Record wire pre-payment for rag and surplus sales.
9. Process invoices and apply payment after shipped rag and surplus.
10. Prepare Rags Sales Report for submission to ARCC
11. Reconcile medical and voluntary life insurance billing on a monthly basis.
12. Process background checks for new hires.

13. Schedule orientations for new employees.
14. File HR and Finance paperwork. (store batches, employee forms, invoices, etc.)
15. In absence of HR Specialist, process payroll.
