What You'll Do
  • Performs Preliminary Structural Design work
  • Prepares Estimate, bid schedules and perform Takeoff while preparing and sending preliminary scope letters, bid forms and documents to meet bid schedules
  • Completes Estimate Summary sheet
  • Assists with the research of detailing, fabrication, and field problems
  • Coordinates with customer and scheduling personnel to schedule material deliveries and placement while coordinating/communicating any changes in the scope of work
  • Responsible for the Bid Process and Coordinating with Responsible Salesman
  • Responsible for making sure outstanding service is taking place and all efforts are taken to satisfy customer needs at all levels, phone calls, meetings, and job sites
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation for each job and a desirable work area
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
  • Previous experience utilizing AutoCAD required; Detailing experience a plus
  • Experience reading blueprints required
  • Strong Mathematical skills and technical writing skills required
  • Experience and practical knowledge of rebar detailing per industry standards; with experience in either or all of: drafting/estimating and placing/sales of fabricated rebar is a plus
  • Ability to deal with uncertainty and work under minimal supervision required
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time required
  • Ability to interact and communicate with co-workers, company leaders, and customers in a positive manner required
  • Ability to follow directions and work rules and accept constructive feedback required
Your Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
