Job Description

This is a hybrid position! We are seeking 2 experienced S&E Stewards!! Can be based inAppleton, WI; Edwardsville, KS; Charlotte, NC or Dunkirk, NY or Homewood, IL or West Chicago, IL. Will be travelling 30%. The Operational Divisional S&E Steward will perform necessary duties to assist in the monitoring of Environmental, Health and Safety regulatory requirements and changes affecting the operations of all US INX facilities (Manufacturing, Inplants, Field Ops, Hardware and Corporate) as well as oversees the safety and environmental operations for non-US INX facilities. Will report to Manager of Operational Safety and Environmental. As an Operational Divisional S&E Steward, you will be responsible to:

  • Assistin the participation of appropriate INX Management Teams and Committees as necessary.
  • Assistin the recommendation of environmental and safety policies and procedures that will assist INX management in establishing and maintaining a safe, incident free, and healthy work environment that meets or exceeds all environmental regulations (Local, State, Federal or International).
  • Ensure Compliance with all Applicable Safety and Environmental Laws and Regulations
  • Assist facilities with incident investigations on root cause and preventing further incidents
  • Develop and Facilitate Compliance with Corporate S&E
  • Assess and Contribute to the Waste Reduction, Re-use, and Recycling Efforts
  • Prepare Required Environmental Plant Regulatory Reports for the Division
  • Communicate with Plant S&E Coordinators regarding any changes with Divisional Facility Operations (Including the addition or removal of equipment)Assist others in Corporate S&E with appropriate facility/operating permits
  • Assist in Preparation of Emission Data for Permit Applications
  • Assist in Developing and Provide Training Opportunities for all Plant S&E Coordinators under the direction of Corporate S&E Management
Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have aBachelor's degree (B.S.) in Safety, Environmental or a Physical Science and/or combination of any of these fields plus 2 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Have5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both.
  • At least 1 in OSHA General Industry Safety Professional Certification, OSHA30hr, Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Hazardous Material Practitioner (CHMP) or Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) required
  • Demonstrate strong organization,time management skills and attention to detail
  • Have excellent math skills, as well as oral, written, reading and comprehension skillsin order to write reports,business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs (MS Office), SAP and other computer skills
  • Possess strong skills, knowledge, and capability in manufacturing principles, such ascontinuous improvement and TPM
  • Have the ability to problem solve and multitask
  • Have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Have the ability to travel 30%

  • Prism Knowledge
  • OHSA General Industry Safety Professional Certification
  • Hazardous Material Practitioner Certification
