Job Description

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sustainability Program Manager on our National Industrial Team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build trusting relationships with project teams, internal Ryan departments, and clients
  • Train external partners and develop accountability to drive participation in owner required reporting including embodied carbon and utility tracking
  • Support internal teams in compliance tracking for owner required reporting generated by external partners
  • Develop a working understanding of low-impact materials, materials sourcing, sustainable materials, and sustainable initiative costs
  • Collaborate with design teams in the preconstruction phase to identify opportunities to reduce embodied and operational carbon, including but not limited to conducting iterative life-cycle costing analyses on alternate products, systems, or design strategies
  • Create and review bid documents and contract documents for sustainability considerations
  • Generate client reports and program updates for clients' sustainability goals on both the project and program level
  • Support the development of internal training and resources for metrics comprehension and reporting on areas including but not limited to energy performance, water usage, material properties, construction waste management and diversion, construction indoor air quality, soil and erosion control, and operational and embodied carbon
  • Schedule coordination with multiple teams at any given time for sustainability related reporting

To be successful in this role a Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Sustainability, Sustainable Design, Architecture, or closely related field is required. You must have 4+ years of experience and be a self-started with the ability to take and end goal and develop a strategy to reach the desired results.

You will really stand out if you have:

  • LEED AP, WELL AP, LFA, or similar sustainability related accreditation
  • Experience in creating and executing new strategies & reading and understanding contracts, specifications, and architectural and engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods & sustainable design and construction methods
