The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator up to the rank of Professor.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide excellent inpatient and outpatient care, in addition to inpatient consultations, predominantly at SRALab and related institutions, conducting assessment, care, and rehabilitation management of children and adolescents with a variety of disabling conditions.
  • Conduct didactic teaching in the form of lectures and one-on-one interactions, in addition to clinical bedside teaching, and outpatient clinic teaching. Audiences will include medical students, residents, fellows, allied health professionals, and practicing physician faculty. The main focus of teaching efforts will be in various areas related to Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine.
  • Potentially conduct research activities, including writing and submitting extramural research grant proposals, preparing manuscripts for publication in professional journals, and conducting applied interdisciplinary research activities.

Qualified candidates will be board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine and some experience in leadership are required. Desirable attributes also include strong communication skills, ability to collaborate with others, and commitment to teaching.
