Location: Elmhurst, IL

Position: Maintenance Mechanic

Shift: 1st shift: 5:30 am -1:30pm- 2nd shift: 1:30 pm-9:30 pm *overtime may be required and must be flexible in scheduling based on plant need. May be asked to come in early or stay late depending on Production need or project work.

Wage:$25.00 hr. *pay be more based on skills and experience up to $35.02

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, as a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the safe operation of production equipment using standard operating procedures. Responsibilities include providing assistance in various areas of our manufacturing process as directed. Strive to meet plant goals and customer requirements. Safety is the top priority of every employee.

What you will be doing:

  • Fabricate basic machine parts and rebuilding rotating equipment, including pumps, gear boxes, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems. Work with electrical systems and check fuses, circuit breakers, overloads, etc. Able to perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Install starters and disconnects and make conduit runs and pull wires.
  • Trouble shooting machines.
  • Work with the changing needs of maintenance and machine shop operations on a day-to-day basis and prioritizing work.
  • Welding experience desired but not required.


We'd love to hear from you if:

  • Have 2-3 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.
  • Have prior experience working in a manufacturing environment corrugated and/or converting experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Military training and or Technical School required, associate degree and/or certificates preferred.
  • Can handle the physical job requirements (heat, noise, shift work, work indoors or outdoors) and have the mechanical, numerical, and verbal aptitude to learn your job quickly.
  • Must be able to work well with others while also being able to work independently with limited supervision. Performs other work as required in support of general maintenance and production activity.
