Title Traffic Safety Worker (Romeoville, IL) (Union) (Night-Time) Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Traffic Saftey Worker will commute to various RoadSafe locations and project sites, drive vehicles, assist team and operations in daily tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Will travel on state and local roadways to RoadSafe locations in various states.
Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record, CDL is a plus but not required
Will use mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment, vehicle and diesel mechanics.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand, sit and bend for long durations.
Must be able to work in a team environment and perform daily tasks required for the job.

Position Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required
Current valid State Driver's License
Must be able to drive, sit, and stand for extended periods of time and in a variety of weather conditions
Must be able to receive, understand, and communicate specific instructions
Must be able to successfully pass background check and DOT drug screen
Must have 2-5 years of driving experience
HAZMAT certification preferred but not required
Must be able to read and write in order to complete paperwork, comply with road signs and have knowledge of federal motor carrier safety regulation
Must be willing to work in a primarily outdoor environment and travel
