Job Description

Driving business for our Convenience store channels, the Business Development Manager- Convenience Storeswill cover states including, but not limited to, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.The Business Development Manager - FL, GA, NC, SC, VA, WVis responsible for directly managing and growing the strategic partnership between HARIBO and our Convenience Store customers along with assigned broker selling partners. This will be achieved by developing and executing strategies to meet assigned sales and market share goals within the assigned geographic territory.

The ideal Business Development Manager, will have a minimum of five (5) years of CPG/Consumer-Packaged Goods strategic account sales experience, selling into Convenience stores and/or brokers that sell into C-Stores, a Bachelor's Degree, ability to travel with overnight stays up to 40% of the time, and have a demonstrated track record of developing forecasts and exceeding sales targets. Additionally, this is a remote position and the candidate will currently reside in the northeastern United States in order to be strategically based in this geographic area.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development plans and strategies to meet assigned sales and market share goals for our Convenience store business within assigned territory
  • Own, manage, and develop strong customer relationships
  • Lead process for managing trade spend/customer programs in collaboration with trade and finance
  • Partner with Finance, Demand Planning, Customer Marketing, and other internal teams
  • Leverages HARIBO brands and product mix to improve profitability and meet customer, shopper, and HARIBO targets
  • Consistently achieve sales and profitability goals, own operational responsibilities to achieve sales targets and KPIs

Qualifications:

  • This is a remote position. Candidates will currently reside in the geographic area of this sales territory - Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, or West Virginia,due to the regional nature of this position. Relocation is not provided.
  • Minimum 5+ years of strategic account sales experience, specifically withinthe CPG / Consumer Packaged Goods industry selling into retailers and/or brokers
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time with overnights stays
  • Prior experience with trade spend - both working and non-working trade
  • Experience with customer and syndicated data tools including IRI and/or Nielsen, or related data tools to turn insights into action
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in selling into the Convenience store channel strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in the candy, confection, snack, or related industry
  • Entrepreneurial spirt, the passion to win, and demonstrated ability to work well with others
  • Strong interpersonal and fact-based selling skills
  • Prior experience developing accurate rolling forecasts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and growing organization
