Job Summary
In collaboration with the Executive Director of the Department of Nursing and Public Health and the directors of the Undergraduate and Graduate programs, the CPC works to acquire, plan, contract, monitor and evaluate clinical sites and student placements in the baccalaureate and graduate nursing programs (campus and online), and ensures submission of department documentation and clinical agreements and contracts. The CPC is responsible for ensuring faculty and students are compliant with department and clinical partner requirements.

Essential Functions
  • Act as liaison between clinical partners' personnel and the Department of Nursing and Public Health
  • Collaborate with program directors to determine clinical needs for each semester
  • Identify and submit clinical placement requests to clinical agencies to meet deadlines for submittal
  • Maintain database with clinical partners' information and site confirmation for each semester
  • Establishes and executes new (and renew current) clinical site affiliation agreements in collaboration with the Nursing Director and Business Office for campus and online programs
  • Coordinate incoming students orientation; set up CPR certification classes, verify clinical requirements utilizing Complio database
  • Insure faculty (including orientation) and student complete all clinical partners' requirements to start rotations
  • Attend clinical partners' annual/semi-annual informational meetings
  • Track preceptor receipts for campus and online clinical rotations
  • Assist when needed with other departments within the School of Health Sciences
  • Plan annual clinical partners event
  • Assist Executive Assistant to Director as needed
  • Assume other responsibilities as designated by the Director of Nursing and Public Health

Minimum Qualifications
  • Two years' experience in an administrative assistant role
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail
  • Collaborative and consultative working style
  • Administrative and leadership abilities consistent with the requirements of the position
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of My Clinical Exchange and Complio a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
