ChampionX has an immediate need for an Engineering Manager in Sugar Land or The Woodlands, TX. The Engineering Manager will work closely with product managers and digital team members to understand the requirements and develop technical solutions, architectures, frameworks, and strategies to meet the business needs. This role will require the willingness to learn new technologies to stay on top of newer frameworks and adopt the technologies in quick time.

What You Will Do:
  • Manage and support the day-to-day digital product managements activities of enterprise platforms and digital projects deliverables.
  • Work with creative teams to develop innovative technology-enabled ideas, support problem identification, escalation, and resolution process for technical issues with platforms and environments.
  • Document and maintain architecture standards and best practices and help mentoring these findings to the team.
  • Manage and drive cloud compute needs including creation and maintain of various resources on cloud.
  • Act as a mentor with team members to define best practices in application architecture.
  • Work within project constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/product teams accordingly.
  • Lead a team of Software Developers and Technical Leads to fulfill customer requirement and deliverables.
  • Availability to travel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Math with at least 10 years of experience.
  • Working knowledge with AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) with one or more of the following programming languages: .NET, C#, Java, JSON or Python.
  • Good knowledge and multi-year hands-on experience of Microsoft Azure Platform.
  • Hands-on programming skills with C#, NET , SQL Server, NoSQL database like MongoDB or any time series databases.
  • Strong working knowledge of designing and implementing system interfaces using REST API including knowledge of XML/JSON, and HTML/CSS.
  • Experience working with AI/ML model and integration with software platforms.
  • Experience with analytics UI/UX, Grafana or similar tools.
  • Experience with docker containers
  • Good knowledge on PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with IoT protocols and frameworks like MQTT, AMQP, etc.
  • Experience with Message Queues like RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, etc.
  • Hands on experience on Angular or ReactJS.
  • Hands on experience on RDBMS like SQLServer or Oracle.
  • Hands on DevOps.
