Position Summary

The Inventory Supervisor supervises the activities of the Inventory team responsible for daily inventory activities. Supports manufacturing and safety objectives.

Responsibilities
    Leads the daily work of the Inventory team, including scheduling staff, planning and assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring efficient work flow
  • Assists Inventory Control Manager with selection and performance management of employees and recommending compensation
  • Maintains attendance and enforces policy
  • Recommends equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, improvements in procedures and working conditions, and process modifications
  • Reviews work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to procedures and quality and safety standards
  • Manages internal inventory control processes and handles exceptions
  • Manages inventory quality and accuracy assurance programs; provides weekly and monthly reports
  • Maintains inventory metrics, including tracking, reporting, and root cause analysis
  • Maintains department database, prepares routine reports, and files records
  • Operates dolly, pallet jack, and forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate shrink-wrap machine and assist in routine equipment maintenance
  • Follows departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous improvement objectives, and safety rules
  • Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
  • Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of inventory experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience a plus
  • Licensed forklift truck operator
  • Supervisory skills
  • Ability to deal with conflicts and employee issues in a professional manner
  • Computer skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
