As a leader in securing credentials, Giesecke & Devrient is seeking Environmental Health & Safety Manager to join our growing team in Bolingbrook, Ill. We are an established organization with a strong global presence and excellent reputation as one of the leaders in our industry.

Job Summary: The Environmental Health, and Safety Manager is responsible to ensure EHS compliance with all legal, OSHA, EPA, ISO and corporate standards for the STS, TCD and Veridos businesses. Develop and implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Design and implement EHS training programs. Promote and maintain an Environmental & Safety culture. Job Duties:
  • Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
  • Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
  • Works with management team on closing EHS audit findings.
  • Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
  • Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other EHS relevant topics.
  • Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
  • Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
  • Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
  • Manages budgets for EHS programs.
  • Provide EHS status updates to management on a regular basis.
  • Leads and direct the Safety Committee at each location.
  • Work closely with the Operations team to identify and resolve EHS related issues.
  • Support corporate LEAN initiatives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining EHS legal compliance.
  • Responsible for maintaining ISO Safety and Environmental compliance.
  • Responsible for achieving and maintaining EHS KPI's.
  • Compliance with all OSHA standards.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Must be able to travel as required.
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required.
  • 2 years' related experience in a manufacturing environment.
