Experienced Non-Manager

Switchcraft is a U.S. manufacturer of connectors, jacks, plugs, molded cable assemblies, patchbays, and switches. Our products are used in a wide variety of industries including medical, GPS, process control, transportation, homeland security, broadcast and pro audio.

We are currently seeking a Tool & Die Maker to completes a variety of task which include the building or repairing of simple or progressive dies, fixtures, gages, assembly machines, and tools.

First Shift M-F 6a - 2:30p

$35/Hour

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Building or repairing of simple or progressive dies, fixtures, gages, assembly machines, and tools
  • Troubleshoot and understand piece part prints, die designs and related materials and specifications
  • Use of toolroom equipment, which includes surface grinders, milling machines, jig borers, optical comparators, and hand tools.
  • Inspects and verifies piece part specifications, tooling specifications, and related dimensional checks, using micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial indicators and surface plates, optical compactors, microscopes, and other related equipment.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Vision acuity required
  • General knowledge of dies
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to read die blueprints
  • Must be able to follow instructions given by team leader or supervisor
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Education and Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
