What You Will Do:

  • Installation, repair, and maintenance of chemical pump automation units
  • Daily monitoring of automation connectivity and data clarity through company software
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining several platforms of programmable logic controllers and RTU's.
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems and equipment such as motors, pumps, switches, pneumatic controls and end devices, and related input and output devices.
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining cellular modems, serial radios, gateways, ethernet radios and routers. With the ability to use various tools and software to perform analysis and determine why equipment is not communicating properly
  • Coordinating and performing maintenance duties required to maintain operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Reading and understandingmaintenance/operationsmanuals for equipment specifications parts and procedures to make proper and timely repairs.
  • Maintaining effective communications, provide ideas, raise concerns, and work with other functions including facility operations and supervision, engineering, supply chain, other I&E employees, clerical staff, and contractors.
  • Coordinating operations with other Delaware Basin personnel as required.
  • Promoting a safe work environment for personal safety and the safety of co-workers.
  • Ensuring job duties are carried out in a safe manner, with due regard for the environment and in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Ensuring that accurate timely data is entered and recorded within computer based preventative and predictive maintenance programs, drawings, procedures, and schematics.
  • Staying abreast of changing technology through training opportunities, contact with suppliers/ representatives of equipment manufacturers and networking with others in the field.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping practices.
  • Obtains signatures for deliveries made, as required
  • Work alone and/or under general supervision
  • Develop good working relationships with customers through frequent and professional written and verbal communication
  • Communicate professionally & effectively with customers when delivering both good and bad information
  • Know and complies with all safety policies and procedures
  • Work unconventional hours and potentially weekends to provide our required level of service on occasion
  • Attend work in predictable and regular manner
  • Participate in Lean events with active involvement in CI initiatives
  • Report unsafe acts or conditions to supervision immediately as noticed

Position Details:

  • Candidate must reside in: Hobbs, NM or Pecos, TX or surrounding areas of either
  • Route territory will include: Permian Basin Coverage with company provided truck
  • Work week and shift: M - F, 7AM to 4:30PM, likely daily overtime and weekend work expected
  • Compensation package offered: Competitive hourly rate and quarterly bonus eligibility
  • New hire orientation is provided, with travel to Houston, TX
  • On the job training on processes, procedures, and product assembly

  • Uniforms provided by company upon regular employment
  • PPE requirements include safety glasses and steel toes

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have an acceptable MVR, driving record and a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record required.
  • Must have or be able to meet DOT physical requirements
  • Must have I&E Certification Level 1
  • At least 3 years of experience / training on applicable control systems equipment
  • Must meet DOT physical certification and training
  • Be able to understand the basics of 4-20ma signals, Modbus, and other communication mediums.
  • Have basic troubleshooting skills with meters, transmitter, RTU and PLC's.
  • Have experience in the use of computers and a basic knowledge of Word and Excel required.
  • Have knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and associated safety requirements.
  • Must demonstrate advanced organizational skills.
  • Be able to apply common-sense understanding to daily tasks and/or issues.
  • Be able to have forthright communication with field leadership; job progress, issues & resolutions, required manpower & equipment, etc.
  • Must be able to work independently and beself-motivated.
  • Must be able to relate to other people and maintain good relationships with coworkers and peers.
  • Must be able to respond appropriately to constructive criticism.
  • Able to lift at least 40lbs
  • High mechanical aptitude
  • High accuracy in data entry
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and various levels of management.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills with a high level of persistency in meeting delivery schedules
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to travel daily away from the shop up to 90% of the time
  • Speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Follow all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements
  • Predictably and regularly attend work and be punctual

Physical Demands:

  • Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.
  • Minimal crawling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, balancing, twisting, stretching, collating/filing, and using a keyboard up to 10%.
  • Occasional climbing ladders, walking and writing between 11% and 33%.
  • Frequent crouching, kneeling, reaching, and dialing between 33% and 66%.
  • Constant bending, lifting up to 40lbs, pushing, pulling, handling, grasping, turning, fingering, picking, pinching, sitting, standing, driving, seeing, hearing and speaking greater than 66%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced I&E Certification level completed
  • At least 2 years of experience in oil and gas field installation of chemical injection pumps or similar products
  • At least 5 years of experience / training on applicable control systems equipment
  • At least 5 years performing moderately complex installations independently
  • At least 5 years of experience in strong customer service relations; including the ability to explain and train
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills

    Certifications:

    • Minimum I&E Certification Level 1
