Rate of Pay: |
This position is a grade 19 with a minimum of $104,850 and a mid-point of $139,800. Salary offer will be commensurate with the education/experience, in alignment with the College's compensation philosophy, and the current CBA, if applicable. |

Job Summary: |
An employee in this classification is responsible for performing work of considerable difficulty by providing academic and administrative leadership for the division of Health Professions which includes Basic Nurse Assistant, Clinical Lab Technology, Computed Tomography, Dental Assisting, Health and Wellness Management, Histotechnology, Mammography, Massage Therapy, Medical Assisting, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nursing, Ophthalmic Technician, Phlebotomy, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiography, Respiratory Care, Sterile Processing and Distribution, and Surgical Technology. Work involves developing and managing the divisional budget, equipment and other purchasing decisions on behalf of the division, hiring and evaluating full-time and part-time faculty, support staff, and administrative staff, development and implementation of new programs and curriculum, ensuring curriculum currency, regular assessment of student learning, strategic planning, program evaluation, and management of facilities. General direction is received from the Vice President of Teaching, Learning, and Student Development. |

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: |
1. Masters degree, preferably in a discipline represented within the division. 2. Teaching experience in higher education. 3. Minimum 2 years administrative experience at the associate dean or dean level or equivalent. 4. Familiarity with the Illinois Community College Board or equivalent agency. 5. Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in a health professions discipline. 6. Current certification/license in a health professions discipline. 7. Knowledge of accreditation/approval process for Health Professions programs. 8. Knowledge of state/regional/national program approval process. 9. Knowledge of certification/licensing process. 10. Knowledge of execution process of affiliation agreements with clinical partners. 11. Knowledge of trends in healthcare. 12. Knowledge of the comprehensive mission of the community college. 13. Demonstrated commitment to ensuring an equitable and inclusive working and learning environment. 14. Ability to work collaboratively and build teams with administrators, faculty, and staff. 15. Extensive experience developing and managing a budget. 16. Ability to build external partnerships. 17. Proven skills in thinking strategically, developing a vision and implementing its details. 18. Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; successful grant writing experience preferred. 19. Proven success in facilities management and planning. 20. Demonstrated respect for the teaching learning and evaluation processes. 21. Strong understanding of student learning and assessment processes. 22. Demonstrated success serving as an advocate for department and faculty in a large organization. |
