Job Description

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) - Cardiac Surgery - Post-Op
  • Location: Position will begin at Evanston Hospital and transfer with the APP Cardiac Surgery Team to the Cardiovascular Institute at Glenbrook upon opening in April of 2024.
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time, 40 hours per week
  • Hours: (4) 10-hour day shifts between Monday and Friday. One weekend q4 and one holiday per year required
  • Required Travel: n/a

What you will need:

  • License: Current Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner License in the State of Illinois required. DEA & Illinois Controlled Substance License required.Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Certification: BLS & ACLS certification
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience caring for Post-op Cardiac Surgery and Heart Failure patients who require advanced mechanical support (Impella, ECMO, VAD) in the acute care setting.
