Sr Manager Analytics and Compensation

Summary

The Senior Manager of Analytics and Compensation will be responsible for lawyer and staff data driven compensation initiatives that attract, motivate, and retain top talent across the firm. The Senior Manager of Analytics and Compensation will also be responsible for managing non-partner performance management/compensation cycles and reporting across the firm. This position requires excellent analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure the compensation strategy remains competitive and aligns with the firm's goals.

Duties and Responsibilities
    Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive and equitable compensation strategy that aligns with the firm's objectives, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Supervise, train, and develop Analytics, Compensation, and Performance Management professionals
  • Collaborate with and provide guidance and support for HR business partners and senior leaders to ensure compensation strategy supports their function
  • Evaluate and monitor staff and non-partner lawyer positions to ensure internal equity along with market competitiveness
  • Develop, implement, administer, and monitor the implementation of new compensation programs, including base salary, bonuses, and incentive plans
  • Assess impact and effectiveness of current compensation structures and develop design recommendations
  • Enhance and develop analytics and compensation related communications
  • Develop, monitor, and manage compensation budget
  • Coordinate competitive analysis process including survey strategy, survey participation, data analysis, evaluation and executive presentation
  • Develop innovative proposals, analysis and presentations for analytics and compensation related topics
  • Develop key user friendly reports for senior leaders, summarizing key compensation metrics, trends, and recommendations
  • Other job duties and analysis as assigned
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 7 years of human resources, accounting, actuarial, or consulting experience
  • 5-7 years compensation strategy/administration OR 5-7 performance management experience
  • In-depth knowledge of salary structure and design
  • Thorough understanding of compensation principles, practices, and regulations
  • Strong ability to analyze data and provide meaningful reporting to senior leadership
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, and provide data-driven recommendations
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines
  • Proficiency with Excel and knowledge of other programs such as, but not limited to, PayFactors/PayScale, PeopleSoft, Oracle, and Workday
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information

Preferred:

  • Masters of Business Administration degree
  • Consulting experience
  • Transformation and change leadership experience
  • Compensation management system experience
