Position: Lead .Net Developer

Location: Chicago, IL - Hybrid

We are seeking a Lead .NET Developer who is passionate about new technology and creating a seamless, customer-centric eCommerce experience. Our Lead .NET Developer will be responsible for driving improvements and new features of the eCommerce applications from a coding and configuration perspective. Our Lead Developer will have previous experience in .Net or C# technologies. Today, we use Sitecore and Sitecore eCommerce platforms. This role presents an exciting opportunity to learn Sitecore technology. Training and certification in Sitecore will be provided as part of the onboarding experience. Working within a scrum team, you will review objectives, work on code fixes and enhancements, and occasionally assist with the code releases. This role will engage in daily scrum meetings with the US and offshore teams to ensure all communication of objectives is clear and address any blocking issues.

Our Lead Developer will have excellent communication skills, and be able to document changes, features, and processes, and keep the documentation up-to-date. Regular code reviews will be a part of this role, keeping coding standards, and ensuring compliance with SOX, PCI, GDPR, and any other compliance requirements. The right candidate will have the ability to work with the team on the Continuous Integration process, improving the time-to-live for code, and the efficiency of Continuous Inspection, and testing.

You'll have the opportunity to work with emerging technologies, from various mature customer, product, and ecommerce technologies to more upcoming machine learning and artificial intelligence applications.

This role will support our Power Efficiency Solution division's overall Digital Customer Experience (DCX) product portfolio with focus on Small-Medium customer growth, 80/20 initiatives to maximize growth on the best fit customers and most profitable products and will also be a key player driving implementation and coordination of digital efforts for profitable growth through enhanced digital customer experience.

As the Lead .NET Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining websites and applications built on the Sitecore XP Content Management System (CMS) and Sitecore ecommerce system (XC). You will work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and use cases, and then translate them into functional website solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and customizing websites and applications using .NET programming languages (such as C#), Sitecore-specific APIs, and other web development tools.
  • Developing and implementing templates, components, layouts, and workflows to enable content creators to easily manage and publish web content.
  • Integrating with other systems and tools, such as CRMs, ERPs, marketing automation software, and social media platforms.
  • Collaborating with other developers, designers, and content creators to ensure that the website and application meet functional, design, and performance requirements.
  • Testing and debugging solutions to ensure high performance, security, and usability.
  • Providing technical support and maintenance for websites and applications, including troubleshooting and fixing issues as they arise.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest Sitecore and web development trends, best practices, and technologies.
