The Manager Enterprise Applications is responsible for all business relationship management, requirements definition, IT investment prioritization, management/development of their assigned IT team(Supply Chain, HR, Finance, etc) and IT program management activities within their assigned function. The primary objective of this position is to enable business growth and productivity through deployment and optimization of information technology. Program success is measured by delivery of projects in an on-time, on-budget manner while delivering upon the expected benefit stream.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee delivery of large portfolio of I.T. projects and programs worldwide for their assigned function. Performance metrics include actual to budget for time and money and delivery against targeted business benefits.
  • Source third party resources, including selection, negotiation, and delivery oversight, to deliver upon the I.T. project portfolio. Manage relationships with various consultancies.
  • Align and participate with assigned project manager to prepare for and conduct steering committee and other project status meetings, and reporting status against all active and planned I.T. projects in the function's portfolio worldwide.
  • Manage the lifecycle for the portfolio of applications utilized by the function providing direction and coordination for enhancements, usability, upgrades and deployment to optimize technology enablement of the function's processes.
  • Aligns the IT strategy to the business functional goals for consumer/residential and industrial/commercial product lines, functions, and regions as needed.
  • Participate in the functional groups meetings and anticipate IT needs and requirements.
  • Translate the business requirements from the functional groups to practical proposals for the Architecture and Execution groups. Ensure understanding of deliverables needed by the business and facilitate discussions as needed with the Business leaders.
  • Work with the IT PMO on portfolio management tools, project funnel process, base case standard and IT Investment Committee (ITIC) preparations.
  • Work with the IT PMO to facilitate their understanding of the business requirements and interface with the Business to clarify deliverables as needed.
  • Interface with project execution team or external providers to facilitate implementation and monitoring of Business IT solutions.
  • Own the deliverables for IT back to the Business and provide corrective action and intervention as needed.
  • Work with product channel Business Leaders to manage IT solutions within cost budgets and agreed timeframes.
  • Align the IT strategy to the business functional goals on an enterprise wide, regional and country level as needed.
  • Identifies new opportunities for solving business problems with innovative IT solutions.
  • Writes or facilitates the writing of ITIC slides decks and Project Pre-Brief/Charter.
  • Helps to develop the business case for any required IT solution.
  • In conjunction with the IT PMO and execution team develops and disseminates portfolio communications for the business.
  • Works with the business to develop business cases for projects and to secure funding through the establish strategic in-take process.
  • Assists in the development of and supports IT strategy and addresses impact on functional portfolio.
  • Plans the implementation phasing for global and regional systems in conjunction with the function.
  • Maintains awareness of existing legacy applications in countries and regions and drive for their replacement through portfolio management.
  • Responsible for project reporting of an active portfolio as a consolidated sum total.
  • Evaluates and leads/assists in selection of suitable software solutions/packages in conjunction with the business.
  • Works with other functional IT teams to define and agree on integration needs between systems.
  • Leverages other IT boards/councils/teams for establishing common practices/processes and institution of these enterprise-wide.
  • Designs and directs the work of the team. Selects, coaches and develops staff. Sets clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manages performance-- recognizing achievement, providing feedback and administering progressive discipline when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of related experience determining and delivering against business requirements
  • 5 years of medium to large-scale program management experience
  • 2 years of progressive leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing a globally dispersed team
  • Project and Program Management, PMP certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Operations, Supply Chain and/or Services Business Process Knowledge and IT Enablement
  • Vendor / Third Party Management
  • Business Relationship Management
  • Ability to develop and nurture relationships cross functionally


Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting; close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
