Scope of Leadership Role

A key influencer of Regal Rexnord's short and long-term business success depends on the ability to have the right talent, in the right roles at the right time to drive the enterprise strategy.

This role is responsible for providing global compensation leadership within Regal Rexnord. The role will be based in Rosemont, IL reporting to the VP of Global Total Rewards. The Director, Global Compensation will serve as a key member of the Corporate HR Leadership team. This is a strategic and hands-on role that is responsible for developing strategy, building roadmaps of implementation, administration, communication, compliance and providing thought leadership. Responsible for leveraging their expertise to lead Regal Rexnord's Compensation function through assessing the effectiveness and competitiveness of the global compensation plans while anticipating and navigating the ever changing compliance landscape.

The Director of Global Compensation will serve as a key partner to the VP of Global Total Rewards, CHRO along with the Human Resources Leadership Team (HRLT). They will partner with this cross-functional team to enable Regal Rexnord to acquire, develop and retain a high quality global diverse workforce.

The Director Global Compensation will lead and develop an internal team and supplement resource needs with outside vendors and resources. The role will lead a team of direct/indirect reports globally. They must have the depth of compensation experience as well as forward thinking capabilities to evolve the competitiveness, consistency and transparency of Regal Rexnord's compensation programs and processes. Successful candidate must be able to generate win-win outcomes building partnerships across the enterprise while aligning expectations and integrating various points of view.

Core Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of Regal Rexnord's Employee Value Proposition.
  • Evolve Regal Rexnord's global compensation (short-term and long-term) strategy, processes and programs that incorporates market competitiveness, consistency, governance and financial analysis.
  • Collaborate and partner with HR leadership to understand their challenges related to compensation programs; and key issues in attracting, motivating and retaining high quality, diverse talent.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement and deliver results aligned with enterprise and HR strategy, including KPIs.

Key Compensation Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultative technical expertise, advice, and guidance regarding compensation matters to HR and business leaders by developing strong partnerships.
  • Provide counsel to HR and business leaders on job design, job documentation, job leveling and policy interpretation.
  • Enhance and maintain Regal Rexnord's compensation structure and job leveling architecture globally.
  • Combine internal data, stakeholder feedback and external competitive data to make decisions that impact employees and the business in a meaningful way.
  • Manage vendor and administration of Regal Rexnord's long-term incentive equity program
  • Manage global salary survey vendors and develop internal market pricing tools to ensure proper positioning of jobs to competitive market data. Supplement our data sources, build industry networks, and keep up with market trends.
  • Design and implement global compensation programs, policies, governance and administrative procedures that are market competitive, cost effective and legally compliant.
  • Provide leadership, counsel, and guidance on Regal Rexnord's annual compensation year-end planning process for merit, bonus and LTI, in partnership with HR team members.
  • Develop a compensation communication strategy, simplifying complex concepts and providing tools for decision making purposes.
  • Responsible for leading, motivating and developing the team, delegating effectively, and managing performance.
  • Responsible for developing and delivering strong implementation and change management plans for new and existing compensation program enhancements or changes working closely with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Ensure on-going audits for internal compliance, governance, ensuring adherence to country, local and federal statutes and laws.
  • Supports executive compensation at key times of year and special projects.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will have a combination of strategic and hands on proven experience in the oversight of the management and administration of global compensation programs, preferably in a global industrial manufacturing environment. This leader must have the passion, energy and intellectual curiosity necessary for a fast-paced, growth-driven environment. Be able to employ forward thinking and have the ability to expeditiously execute projects and programs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Business Administration or Human Resources.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 10 years of Human Resources experience within a global organization.
  • 7 years of global experience with designing, enhancing or evolving compensation programs to enable market competitiveness in the attraction and retention of high quality talent.
  • Experience with stock administration/vendor management with a public company
  • Demonstrated track record for holding vendors to the highest performance standards.
  • Demonstrated track record of partnering with senior leaders to develop and implement compensation strategies that produce measurable outcomes and drive business results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to establish trust, credibility and rapport at all levels of the organization; seen as humble, direct, and authentic while possessing executive presence.
  • Proven ability to be hands on, roll up sleeves and demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative, results-orientation. Has a mindset of continuous improvement and can embrace Regal Rexnord's 80/20 principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships and influence resources outside one's direct responsibility.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.
