What You Will Do:

  • Identify, understand, and document customer or product requirements and develops technical specifications and schematics with other engineering disciplines.
  • Design new products and support sustaining/design for manufacturability (DFM) engineering efforts.
  • Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing routings using Oracle ERP software.
  • Assist in manufacturing activities including creation of shop specific equipment and work instructions.
  • Maintain engineering documents using product data management (PDM) software.
  • Perform failure analysis including fatigue and fracture mechanisms. Interpret material test reports and results.
  • Ensure that all products and designs comply with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Develop prototypes, test plans, and validations through analysis and testing.
  • Research and document new technologies; participate in or conduct design reviews.
  • Oversee the mechanical engineering components of a large project or a complex component of a single project.
  • Exhibit influence within a work group; work well with other engineering and technical team members.
  • Interface with sales, manufacturing, and supply chain to design and deliver solutions.
  • Troubleshoot problems and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Know and enforce compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Drive and contribute to the department continuous improvement culture.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all matters.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • This safety-sensitive role may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.
  • College or university degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Science, or related subject
  • 3 years prior experience
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently and with minimal supervision
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Immigration sponsorship not offered for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Experience with artificial lift methods, especially Jet Lift
  • Knowledge of pumps, rotating equipment, and skid frame manufacturing
  • Knowledge of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA)
