The Center of Advanced Tax Technology (CATT) is one of the fastest growing practice groups in all of RSM Tax. The CATT team is focused on enhancing RSM US's ability to deliver comprehensive, value-added, and efficient tax services to our clients. It is a dynamic team with professionals of varying backgrounds from tax functional, tax technical, technology development, and project management. The team consults and executes on a wide range of initiatives involving process, tool development, and implementation including training development, engagement management, tool design.

The Role

Are you a tech visionary who wants to play a critical role in the next wave of tech innovation? At RSM, you will be part of an inclusive team who wants to hear your voice. You will develop into a Subject Matter Expert on the various tax technology products while interfacing with clients to define and document requirements.

Some of the opportunities you will have:

  • Participate in the development effort of the PartnerSight Operating Partnership module through creation of documentation including requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, feature description PowerPoint decks, user guides, process flows.

  • Create best practices to assist and train CATT client service associates and compliance engagement teams.

  • Prepare significant portions of the tax compliance and consulting process.

  • Assisting product owners in leading, directing, and reviewing all activities associated with delivering technology products.

  • Participating in design thinking sessions to gain insights into end user needs.

  • Providing operational support to tax practitioners.

  • Engaging various teams to resolve problems as they arise.



Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Computer Science with minor in Accounting or relevant educational or professional experience

  • 3+ years' experience in operating partnership tax compliance and/or consulting.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship skills.

  • Strong knowledge of partnership tax regulations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to lead and mentor a team of tax professionals.

  • Ability to work in a hybrid team environment, that involves virtual and in-person team collaboration.

  • Ability to complete work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage a variety of detailed tasks and responsibilities simultaneously with accuracy to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.

  • Detail-oriented and able to work with a high level of accuracy and precision.

Preferred:

  • CPA, JD, EA highly preferred

  • Working knowledge of analytics, data management, statistics, accounting, and computer applications

  • Knowledge and experience with tax compliance systems or financial systems

  • Alteryx experience a plus

Compensation Range: $84,200 - $159,500

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
