Printpack Bloomington is looking for a qualified Dual Craft (Mechanical & Electrical) Technician.

Job Description:
- Communicate with Operators and/or Leads to identify and understand symptoms of machine problem
- Diagnose root cause of problems with production equipment to determine best solution: electrical or mechanical
- Conduct Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures, Preventive Maintenance
- Communicate actions taken to repair the machine to Operator and/or Lead
- Maintain fire and security systems
- Demonstrate knowledge of plant and process safety rules, safe operating methods, and good housekeeping standards.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment, including motor relays, circuit breakers, machine & process controls, and electrical distribution systems
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery logic systems, PC based systems, and all types of drives and motors
- Participate on Focused Improvement Teams for Continuous Improvement
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required
- You must be able to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check
- Proficient in electrical/electronic systems repairs & troubleshooting
- Must be able to work a 12 hour night shift
- Preferred 5 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar experience or a combination of experience and training
- Electronics Tech Certification and/or advanced training a plus
- Multi-crafted and competent in hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical repairs
- Proficient in troubleshooting basic electrical circuits
- Ability to work and troubleshoot PLC's, ladder logic, and PC based systems
- Proficient at troubleshooting Servo Motors & related controls, AC/DC drives, stepper motors
- Clear understanding in process control systems such as: temperature control, pressure control, flow control and PID control loops
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings/schematics
