Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting in publicizing and promoting Loyola's 15-sport intercollegiate athletics program.
- Serves as the primary contact for at least two varsity sports (as assigned).
- Assists with home event game management and promotions.
- Assists with website updates, website blogs, video production and editing, feature stories, social media updates, historical updating and archiving.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization
  • Minimum of 3 years previous work experience in collegiate athletics
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years experience in athletic media relations/sports information required.
- Solid writing and interpersonal communication skills and collegiate/professional sports media relations/communications experience.
- Previous experience working with Stat Crew/Stat Genius and editing video content.
- Marketing/ promotions skills a plus.
- Experience working with Macintosh computers and design software and must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
-Solid understanding of new and emerging communications methods and tools
