What you'll do:

This position is for a Technical Project Manager of server development projects within Lenovo's Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), based in Morrisville, North Carolina. This is an exciting role in a growing server development organization that is focused on being the #1 trusted IT Partner in the datacenter infrastructure market. The customer is always a top priority for this team and the position offers opportunities to grow and solve unique client challenges.

The candidate will collaborate with worldwide engineering teams in the development of server platforms with a focus on consistency and quality across the portfolio. This role is on a team that is responsible for early prototype hardware designs that will become the base platform for other platforms to leverage. Communication and coordination is key to maintaining project scope, schedule and execution is critical for the early development of the next generation of Lenovo ThinkSystem servers. The candidate will collaborate closely with internal functional design teams as well as with cross-functional teams in Procurement, Product Marketing, Service and Manufacturing. The candidate will drive project execution and report status to functional and executive stakeholders. The candidate should have a broad understanding of system-level server technologies, as well as experience managing technology-based product development projects.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 1+ years of experience in technology-based product development projects
• Ability to define a project scope and then coordinate and communicate the execution of the project by a peer team of engineers.
• Ability to understand technical problems and coordinate the right skills and resources to resolve them.

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Engineering discipline.
• Experience with Intel x86 or AMD server architecture and product development.
• Experience in the development and execution of design processes.
• Experience in Project management and reporting tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Project.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for a variety of tasks, including engineering task management, partner engagements and executive updates.
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively in both a team environment and self-directed; passionate about learning new technologies and skills.
