THE ROLE

The Principal, Leadership Advisory brings impactful solutions to clients by serving as a pivotal part of project teams, combining deep industry knowledge of the Quality of Life Ecosystem and expertise in a pragmatic manner, to deliver the very best possible results for our clients. Principals build and lead client teams in smaller/mid-size engagements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create Client Impact:

  • Demonstrates a good understanding across all WittKieffer services.

  • Leverages strong expertise in at least one Leadership Advisory offering (executive succession, team development, and/or culture development) to bring solutions that deliver measurable client impact.

  • Participates in teams, and may lead smaller teams, across WittKieffer to listen and truly understand client needs and develop the best solutions, delivering real impact.

  • Supports and helps put in place mechanisms to measure the impact of our work on client performance.

Deliver Client Solutions:

  • Leads the delivery of complex projects ensuring client satisfaction.

  • Ensures teams are sufficiently enabled to deliver high-quality work.

  • Manages day-to-day project team performance to meet client expectations.

  • Delivers high quality work as an expertise/engagement lead that meets or exceed client expectations.

Manage Client Relationships:

  • Develops profitable business with mid-sized clients through effective client relationship building and proactive collaboration with colleagues across WittKieffer.

  • Drives research, analysis and interpretation on client/sector business issues, with a view to identifying other areas for positive impact on our clients' business.

  • Expands existing portfolio of relationships with business/HR leaders to understand their needs and consequently increase opportunities to further impact clients' success.

Develop Business &Position the Brand:

  • Provides input and helps shape proposals that are focused on client needs, customized, differentiated from others and have the purpose of delivering the very best client solutions and impact.

  • Leads on smaller proposals.

  • Maintains an appropriate mix of repeat and new business, proactively leveraging relationships to seek out additional opportunities to support clients.

  • Positions WittKieffer in the marketplace by contributing to offerings/thought leadership and generating market awareness.

  • Develops relationships with emerging thought leaders, developing networks of influence in order to position WittKieffer as the preeminent leader in the market.

Manage Projects &Financials:

  • Creates effective day-to-day plans for all client work and ensures resources are used most effectively to deliver on time and on budget.

  • Ensures all systems and processes (e.g., lead tracker, sales registration, timesheets, sale add-ons, invoicing, etc.) are completed accurately and on time.

Develops Self &Others:

  • Demonstrates WittKieffer's values in all that they do: collaborative,committed,growing,adaptive,empathetic,diverse, and inclusive.

  • Identifies opportunities to improve practice and/or firm performance (e.g., developing capability, communications, and operations) and raises appropriately, participating in implementation as needed.

  • May take on formal leadership of more junior colleagues.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.

  • 15+ years of postgraduate working experience, with background in management or organizational development consulting (external consulting strongly preferred).

  • Hogan certification preferred.
