SummaryThis position is responsible for the installation of the full range of G+D products and solutions and is also required to provide applications and technical support for the sale, development, and manufacture of G+D's currency automation products and solutions. The position works closely with sales, product marketing, engineering, and customer support teams to help develop, deliver, and install product solutions designed to meet the requirements of G+D's banknote automation customers.Duties/Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite installation of G+D's products and solutions ensuring a timely and satisfactory end result
  • Provide pre-sales applications and technical support on all G+D hardware and software products and solutions. This activity may involve providing product demonstrations, process mapping, and consulting services
  • Be able to provide operator training on G+D's full range of bank note handling products and solutions
  • Assist in the performance of in-house and on-site software and hardware testing for new product validation and to ensure G+D solutions meet customer and market requirements
  • Ability to train and assist internal and external partners
  • Assist customer with count room and process design
  • Be able to provide simple project management as well as routine adaptation support including DEG, BPSCC, and BPS configuration file creation
  • Provide escalation support to G+D's Field Engineers when necessary
  • Provide on-site applications and consulting support as required
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Meet company and customer deadlines and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Report customer dissatisfaction to management in a timely manner escalating issues when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction
Required Skills/Knowledge
  • Knowledge of automated bank note handling machinery and software solutions
  • Ability to respond quickly to support customer needs
  • Ability to work under pressure in order to meet customer deadlines
  • Some tasks are routine, such as the documentation of customer requirements and client training. Other tasks will be more challenging and require the ability to make decisions without assistance, such as responding to customer's technical problems or product failures
  • General knowledge and understanding of the following:
  • Microsoft Office - ability to utilize standard applications
  • File Transfer requirements
  • Operating Systems
  • Networking - ability to integrate various solutions in differing environments
  • Command Prompts (DOS)
Travel Required
  • 75%
Required Education and Experience
  • BS in Computer Science or a BS in Engineering Technology and/or a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of G&D currency technology Hardware and Software Solutions
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of casino and banking operations with regards to currency processing
  • Ability to implement and support internally developed solutions to address customer specific design needs (DEG, BPSCC, custom reporting & interfacing, Coupon implementation, etc.)
