Outpatient Weekend Group Therapist - Per Diem

Are you an experienced Master's Level Therapist, but not looking for full-time work?

Major Duties and Responsibilities: The Outpatient Weekend Group Therapist performs social service functions to include assisting clients in meeting their bio-psycho-social needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills the ability to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation , teaching, and specialized clinical social services for consumers/families receiving care. The clinical social services provided includes group therapy and case management with families as needed. The Outpatient Weekend Group Therapist leads group therapy sessions on Saturdays during the day in conjunction with other group therapy facilitators. This specific position is for a primary group leader. Required components are to lead a specific number of groups per week with individual sessions available if interested as a secondary option, based on preference of the therapist.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: A Master's Degree in a related mental health field is required. A minimum of two (2) years experience in behavioral health with experience in individual, family, and group therapies, crisis intervention and treatment skills is preferred; must have strong clinical assessment skills, with a majority experience focused on the child/adolescent population is preferred. DHS/DCFS background/ knowledge is preferred. Experience in developing, planning, and facilitating groups is required. Providing intervention with children and adolescents who are challenging and resistive to treatment is preferred. Experience in DBT, CBT, CT and/or Play Therapy highly beneficial and Spanish speaking is a plus. Valid Illinois driver's license is required.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: LPC, LSW, LCSW or LCPC is preferred. Employee may pursue designation of Clinical Psychologist in lieu of stated licensures. Additional certification of alcohol and drug abuse counselor is preferred. Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
