Job Summary/General Purpose of Job

Provides administrative programmatic and event planning support to an assigned entity.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Provides full range of administrative and clerical functions.

Provides programmatic support that may include, but not be limited to, editing, proofing, elementary desktop publishing, conducting basic research, supporting members and committees, supporting marketing activities, and meeting planning.

Event planning responsibilities include: development of project deadlines, budgets and development of event specifications and vendor communications and negotiations. Responsible for managing the on-site logistics for these meetings.

Establishes, selects, implement, modifies, and coordinates all office administrative services to optimize service delivery.

Complies basic operational reports and assists in the maintenance of the department's budgets.

Orders and maintains supplies and, where appropriate, arranges for equipment maintenance and repair.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education, Qualifications, Experience

Possession of a high school diploma or GED.

Three years' experience providing administrative and event-planning support in a business setting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font style and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, aligning text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).

Preferred Education, Qualifications, Experience

Possession of an Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university.
